Help us build a connected community.
Cana’s mission is to companion those living on the margins of social and economic breakdown, those who are lonely, homeless, or suffering from mental ill-health, addiction or other factors which marginalise them from mainstream society.
Companions join the residents and guests at our shelters to spend time, give guidance, help with appointments, share meals, and in some cases stay overnight.
Help can be given via meal preparation and sharing experiences, going on picnics, outings and excursions, companioning, market days, farming, administration, and overnight stays.
Learning English through

Volunteer training, mentoring and support.
All volunteers receive training prior to giving time to our community. New volunteers are required to attend information session(s) to learn more about the work we do and the various volunteer roles available. During your time with Cana, house and farm leaders are always on hand for mentoring and the support of our volunteers. Email info@cana.org.au for more information.
