School group farm days.

Experience a day of learning and growth.

Cana Farm offers a unique opportunity for students to explore the principles of social justice and community engagement firsthand. We welcome school groups from Primary through Year 12 to immerse themselves in a day that combines education with practical experience, showcasing the transformative power of community collaboration.

What your day will look like:

  • Welcome & intro to Cana Farm: Start your visit with an overview of our mission, and discover how our community works together to create meaningful change.

  • Morning tea: Enjoy a relaxing break with a morning snack, giving students a chance to connect and reflect.

  • Farm walkaround: Explore the farm and meet our animal residents, gaining insight into their care and the role they play in our community.

  • Hands-on work in the veg garden: Get your hands dirty with hands-on experience in our vegetable garden, learning about sustainable farming practices and the importance of nurturing the land.

  • Lunch provided: Savour a meal prepared by our community including some fresh ingredients from our farm.

  • Group discussion: Reflect on your experiences and discuss the impact of social justice and community support, and how these principles can be applied in everyday life.

Plan your visit

Our farm is open Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 3:30pm. Our standard program runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm, but we’re flexible and can adjust the timing to fit your school’s schedule. Let us know what works best for you, and we’ll make it happen!

Support our mission

Cana Farm is a not-for-profit initiative, heavily subsidised by Cana Communities. We charge a modest fee per student (teachers and supervisors are free) to help us continue our work in bringing people together for positive change and ensures the sustainability of our programs.
