Cana Farm's journey: Reflecting on Orchard Hills
Since 2010, Cana Farm at Orchard Hills has been a sanctuary of community, growth, and transformation. With a mission rooted in companionship, hope, and a gentle pathway to employment, the farm has touched and transformed countless lives. Over the years, community members and volunteers have come together to share meals, reflect, learn new skills, and support one another in many ways. From wellness programs to group activities, Orchard Hills has been a welcoming space where dignity and belonging are nurtured.
A new beginning, not an end
We’re thrilled that our journey continues, not ends. With the generous support of Marc Polese and his family, Cana Farm is moving to a 13-acre property in North Richmond. This transition upholds a 15-year relationship with the Polese family that began with Marc’s father, Beppi (read more). Our new location will allow us to expand our social enterprise, continue providing a safe, welcoming space for our community, and foster connections among our partners—from schools and corporate groups to veterans and disability services. With ample space and resources, this new chapter holds endless possibilities for Cana Farm.
Please join us for an open day to say 'farewell' to Orchard Hills and celebrate everything we’ve achieved. It’s an opportunity to reconnect, reminisce, and look ahead as we transition to our new home in North Richmond. We can’t wait to see you there!
