ABC Compass: Seeds of change

ABC Compass: new directions visited Cana Farm and spoke to Cana Communities' CEO Julie Sneddon, as well as community members there, about the Farm’s aims, the work they do, and the story behind it all.

Cana Farm on the outskirts of Sydney provides a new way of life for some of society’s most marginalised people through its prison release support program. Here inmates learn both practical and life skills as they try to re-integrate into society. Julie Sneddon is Cana Farm’s manager and founder and it’s her life’s mission to help those in need along with the volunteers whose own lives have been changed by the people they’ve helped.

Episode aired 7 October 2017.
